Step 1: Removing Plants:

First, you have to remove all the plants from the sloped yard if there are plants there. If you think that you will replant those plants further, you can transplant those in some pots or anywhere at your convenient areas. You can use a shovel to do that work properly. To save those plants from stress, spray water to those plants and keep them in a cool area. Besides this, you need to clean all the other remain rubbishes from your yard as well.

Step 2: Excavating Top Soil:

Secondly, you have to excavate all the topsoil. For this, you need to communicate with the local utility company and to inform them about the issue with the marked areas and to take permission from them. Step 3: Removing Top Soil:

Step 5: Compacting Soil by Using Lawn Roller:

Step 6: Filling up Depressions with Additional Subsoil:

Fix up depressions if any with additional subsoil by using a shovel. Again level the surface of the soil until it is smooth. Also use again a lawn roller for pushing over the whole ground.

Step 7: Measuring the Level:

Check the ground with the measuring tap, stakes, string, string level etc.

Step 8: Replacing Topsoil:

A layer of 4 inches topsoil will be replaced on the ground now. Fix it evenly over the ground. To set the topsoil, use again a lawn roller to push over the ground repeatedly in order to compact it as well.

Step 9: Watering to Settle the Soil:

Lastly, you have to spray water to the graded areas thoroughly for the future settle of the soil. Let the soil time to dry completely. After full completion of drying the soil, find out depressions if any. If so, again fill up those with subsoil and use a lawn roller again like before for level. Continuing this process until all the depressions are fixed and your ground has become leveled.

Step 10: Seeding or Sodding on the Soil:

Finally, you can spread seeds or use sods on your new yard and water daily to make them grow.
